Neil Hannon annonce la réédition du catalogue de The Divine Comedy.

Les différents formats (CD, LP, téléchargement numérique et un coffret CD) sortiront le vendredi 21 août.

En 1990, Neil Hannon signait son premier contrat d’enregistrement sous le nom de The Divine Comedy. Pour célébrer cet anniversaire, Divine Comedy Records remasterise et réédite neuf des albums du groupe:

‘Libération‘ (1993), ‘Promenade‘ (1994), ‘Casanova‘ (1996), ‘A Short Album About Love‘ (1997), ‘Fin de Siècle‘ (1998), ‘Regeneration‘ (2001), ‘Absent Friends ‘(2004),’ Victory For The Comic Muse ‘(2006) et’ Bang Goes The Knighthood ‘(2010).

Chaque réédition comporte 2 CD: l’album original remasterisé et un deuxième CD avec des faces B, des démos et des versions inédites.

La sortie sur CD de ‘A Short Album About Love‘ est accompagnée d’un DVD, un film inédit de 50 minutes du concert enregistré au Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Les CD sont livrés avec un livret de photos et des notes écrites par Neil Hannon.

Chaque LP sera disponible avec un code de téléchargement de l’album et des bonus.

Le coffret CD  “Venus, Cupidon, Folly And Time – Thirty Years Of The Divine Comedy ” rassemble 12 albums remasterisés, ainsi que les nouvelles éditions de Foreverland (2016) et Office Politics (2019).

Il présente également «Juveneilia» – une compilation exclusive de 2 CD comprenant les premiers enregistrements de Neil Hannon provenant de ses archives personnelles. Il contient l’album «perdu» de 1990 «Fanfare For The Comic Museand» et des EP «Timewatch» et «Europop».
