Sept ans après la reformation officielle du groupe de Bob Geldof, The Boomtown Rats devrait sortir un nouvel album en 2020 – l’année du rat – avec une nouvelle collection de 10 chansons. Il s’agira du premier LP du groupe depuis 1984.

Intitulé Citizens of Boomtown, l’album produit par le bassiste Pete Briquette, sortira le 13 mars via BMG.

Il sera précédé le 10 janvier du premier single, “Trash Glam Baby“.
