Universal Music sortira au mois d’octobre prochain, un somptueux coffret (8CD + DVD) intitulé R.E.M. at the BBC.
Le coffret comprend des enregistrements live, des raretés, des inédits extraits des archives de la BBC et du groupe.
Disponible en versions numérique, 2-CD, 2-LP et un coffret Super Deluxe 8-CD / 1-DVD, la collection rassemble notamment les sessions du groupe pour la Radio BBC et le légendaire DJ John Peel.
Les performances du groupe de Michael Stipe sont à la fois tirées, des émissions concerts et des sessions studio. On notera une performance d’une heure en 1984 à Nottingham, une apparition en 2008 pour Radio 1 Live Lounge et un concert au Festival de Glastonbury en 1999.
Le DVD propose une rétrospective des apparitions de REM sur la BBC.
Les trois formats seront publiés le 19 octobre 2018.
