The New Pornographers ont annoncé la sortie de leur nouvel album, The Former Site Of, le 27 mars chez Merge.

Le disque a été enregistré par Carl « A.C. » Newman, Kathryn Calder, Neko Case, John Collins et Todd Fancey.

L’album inclut « Ballad of the Last Payphone », un nouveau morceau que le groupe a partagé en avril 2025.

Le dernier album de The New Pornographers, Continue as a Guest, est sorti en 2023 chez Merge, leur premier album pour le label.
