Cherry Red Records annonce la sortie d’un coffret baptisé Where Were You: Independent Music From Leeds (1978-1989).
Cette anthologie, composée de 3 CD, célèbre la scène indie de Leeds de la fin des 70’s à 1989.
La compilation proposera 68 titres de groupes tels que Soft Cell, Sisters Of Mercy, Gang Of Four, The Wedding Present, Scritti Politti, The Mission en passant par The Mekons, CUD, Delta 5, The Pale Saints, Girls At Our Best, Age Of Chance ou The Bridewell Taxis et bien d’autres.
Co-compilé par Benoît Farvak (Salvation) avec l’aide et le soutien de Richard Rouska (Rouska Records), “Where Were You” offre également, pour la première fois en CD, des titres de groupes obscures de Leeds.
Where Were You: Independent Music From Leeds (1978-1989) est un hommage à l’héritage de l’une des plus belles villes “musicales” du nord du Royaume-Uni.
