Fun Boy Three a connu deux ans de succès au début des années 1980.

Le groupe s’est formé en 1981 lorsque Terry Hall, Lynval Golding et Neville Staples ont quitté The Specials.

Le trio a publié neuf singles (dont deux avec les Bananarama) et deux albums The Fun Boy Three (1982) et Waiting (1983).

Le groupe s’est séparé en 1983.

Chrysalis a annoncé la sortie d’une édition deluxe baptisée The Complete Fun Boy Three.

The Complete Fun Boy Three comprend tous les enregistrements officiels des Fun Boy Three (albums/singles/b-sides/remixes/live et extraits inédits) soit 69 pistes audio réparties sur 5CD.

Le DVD propose toutes leurs vidéos promotionnelles, les prestations à Top of The Pops et un concert de 1983.

Les deux albums du groupe sont également réédités sur vinyle ainsi que de leur “best of“.

Le coffret The Complete Fun Boy Three 5CD + DVD et les rééditions vinyles seront disponibles le 4 août 2023 via Chrysalis.
