Bright Eyes a annoncé, sous le titre Companion, un projet de rééditions de l’ensemble de son catalogue sous le format EPs.

Le 27 mai, le groupe commencera avec les trois premiers albums : A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997, Letting Off the Happiness de 1998 et Fevers and Mirrors de 2000.

Chaque EP comprendra six titres retravaillés de l’album respectif, le groupe visant à ce qu’ils sonnent complètement différents de leurs originaux.

« Nous devions les modifier de manière substantielle, a déclaré Oberst, décrivant chaque EP comme une « lecture supplémentaire » pour les rééditions.
