The dB’s a connu son heure de gloire au début des années 80.
Le groupe new yorkais, a su associer les influences de Big Star, des Beatles, de The Move et des Byrds pour créer un son power pop unique.
La compilation I Thought You Wanted to Know 1978-1981 réunit leurs premiers singles, démos et live inédits, soit 23 titres avant que le groupe ne soit signé chez Albion Records (UK) en 1980 et sorte son premier album, Stand For Decibels l’année suivante.
