Sex Pistols 76-77 est une collection de titres des Sex Pistols enregistrés avant la sortie de l’album “Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols” en 1977.

Comprenant pas moins de 80 versions alternatives de morceaux enregistrés entre mai 1976 et septembre 1977, ces enregistrements ont contribué à former ce qui est l’un des disques les plus emblématiques et culturellement importants de tous les temps et le seul album studio du groupe.

Ce coffret 4CD sortira le 24 septembre. Il contient huit inédits et 30 versions originales partagées en digital pour la première fois.

Dans le communiqué, on peut lire : “Ce coffret Sex Pistols est un voyage audio de démos et de prises alternatives qui ont donnés vie à Never Mind The Bollocks. Il ne s’agissait pas de chance mais bien d’inspiration, de créativité et de travail acharné pendant une période courte mais intense, qui a donné naissance à tant d’histoires et d’anecdotes légendaires.”

Les Sex Pistols – John Lydon, Paul Cook, Steve Jones et Glen Matlock – sont entrés la première fois dans un studio d’enregistrement au Majestic à Londres le 15 mai 1976 avec Chris Spedding…la suite est à découvrir sur Sex Pistols 76-77.
