Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark poursuivent les célébrations de leur 40e anniversaire, avec l’annonce de la sortie le 4 octobre, du coffret intitulé Souvenir.

L’édition collector comprendra 5 CD et 2 DVD logés dans un coffret, avec un livre relié, une affiche et une série de tirages photos.

Les disques audio comportent tous les singles du groupe, d’«Electricity» à «What Have We Done», ainsi qu’un tout nouveau single «Don’t Go».

 

Le coffret comprend également un live inédit enregistré à l’Hammersmith Odeon en 1983, 22 démos inédites, des archives qui ont été sélectionnées et mixées par Paul Humphreys, du matériel live rare et inédit de la BBC…

Un des DVD contient des représentations télévisées notamment à Top Of The Pops, Old Grey Whistle Test, Later With Jools Holland.

Le livre contient des photos inédites, une introduction de Paul Morley et des notes de pochette pour accompagner les archives d’Andy McCluskey.

 

Enfin, le coffret Souvenir se déclinera aussi aux formats 2CD et 3LP.

 

Le groupe d’Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Martin Cooper et Stuart Kershaw débutera sa tournée en octobre au Portugal. OMD jouera à Paris à La Cigale, le 16 février 2020.
