Mercury Rev a choisi de rendre hommage à la chanteuse americaine Bobbie Gentry, égérie de la country et de la pop psychédélique des 60’s, en revisitant son album “The Delta Sweete” sorti en 1968.

Le groupe a fait appel aux voix prestigieuses : Hope Sandoval, Laetitia Sadier, Beth Orton, Rachel Goswell, Norah Jones, Vashti Bunyan, Marissa Nadler, Susanne Sundfør, Phoebe Bridgers, Kaela Sinclair et Carice Van Houten.

“Bobbie Gentry’s The Delta Sweete Revisited” paraîtra le 8 février chez Bella Union.
