Le groupe de Bob Geldof a annoncé une tournée anniversaire et la sortie le 19 Septembre 2025 d’une compilation, The First 50 Years: Songs of Boomtown Glory .

Invités de de l’émission télévisée de Jools Holland, The Boomtown Rats interprètent leur  single Rat Trap initialement publié en 1978.
