Le label Coitus Interruptus Productions a publié un album hommage à Japan.
Baptisé “Still Life in Polaroids“, le tribute est disponible depuis le 5 mai.
Considéré comme un groupe majeur du courant new wave des années 1980, Japan a développé une esthétique et un son particuliers, notamment grâce à son inspirateur et chanteur David Sylvian.
Les albums du groupe marqués par le glam rock (Adolescent Sex en 1978) se sont progressivement nourris d’influences modernes et variées jusqu’à l’aboutissement de Tin Drum (1981). Le groupe s’est séparé fin 1982.
“Still Life in Polaroids” est disponible en version Pay-What-You-Want, avec un éventail de groupes et de morceaux.
