Domino a annoncé la sortie du troisième et dernier volet de la série d’anthologies consacrées au légendaire groupe de Brisbane, The Go-Betweens.
Le luxueux coffret baptisé G Stands For Go-Betweens: Volume 3 – 2000-2006, sera disponible le 13 décembre 2024.
Il sera constitué de quatre albums vinyles, sept disques compacts et d’un livre de 112 pages, comprenant de nombreuses photos d’archives et des notes du membre fondateur Robert Forster.
Dans le détail, le coffret propose en vinyle, les albums, The Friends Of Rachel Worth, Bright Yellow Bright Orange et Oceans Apart. Ce dernier a été remixé pour la réédition par le producteur d’origine Mark Wallis.
Le volume 3 de G Stands For Go-Betweens comprend également un nouveau LP composé d’une session acoustique que Forster et McLennan ont enregistrée pour la radio Bayern 2 Radio à Munich lors de leur tournée de promotion de la compilation Bellavista Terrace.
Les sept CD sont constitués de faces B, de sessions radio et de démos rares, difficiles à trouver, dont une collection de quatorze chansons inédites que le duo a enregistrées ensemble en 1991.
