Le groupe de Baltimore a aussi annoncé que Mike Lowry était officiellement intronisé batteur. Il rejoint le trio fondateur, William Cashion, Samuel T.Herring et Gerrit Welmers.

Ensemble, le quatuor a coproduit As Long As You Are avec l’ingénieur Steve Wright.

Après avoir partagé son premier extrait « For Sure », Future Islands a publié une nouvelle chanson «Thrill».
